I don't know much about the techniques, but its nothing new. Tribal peoples have been using scarring for hundreds or thousands of years. Maybe do some research on the methods they use?

The tribes that do that stuff usually just do it with razor blades or very sharp rocks. Just straight lines across, going up and down the body. Sick shit.
