Dairy keeps your MAO's distracted?
    #6906858 -

I think so. I ate a pressed pill ("ecstasy") about 50 minutes ago. I ate one of the same batch a few months ago and got nothing but a trace of the eye wiggles and a slight jaw clench.

So back to today, I ate the pill and was feeling npthing but a slight tightness in my chest. Then I drank a few gulps of goat milk and cracked open some yogurt. Ate about three bites of the yogurt and the mdma part of the pill hit me instantly. I also recall a time years ago when I ate about 300 mg of DXM then ate a slice of pizza about 20 minutes later. As soon as i started digesting the first few bites of pizza the modest dose of DXM hit me like a ton of bricks. I had never had my equilibrium so smashed by the substance. I half stumbled downstairs and spent the next three hours drawing a 2 dimensional ornamental bust of the Sumerian Ishtar.....i'm starting to feel a bit weird so i'm gonna stop typing now.

Interesting. Can anyone else confirm this?

I believe that dairy interferes with MAO functioning, and I'm almost sure that tobacco does as well, as it contains harmaline ... I think that might be why people smoke more when they're on drugs (makes the effect stronger)?

Oh yeah, the first time i did X, at a "rave" in Vancouver (the only other time i've really ever done it except right now), once it kicked in all I wanted to do was smoke. I sat there smoking nonstop for about an hour. I've never enjoyed smoking so much.

exactly. people say that smoking "feels" better on psychedelics/uppers/downers, and smoke a lot more ... but I think it may lie purely in the MAO activity, and the taste is a consequence of that.

All I know is dairy does not mix with mushrooms for me. I can't drink milk at all the day of a trip or I'll hurl.

My suspicion is that it's any food that takes more digestive effort to process, not just dairy. I suspect meats or fatty nuts or chocolate or any rich food could have the same effect.
