Hi Camel. I am not sure a H.I.D. (high intensity discharge) lamp would work well on mushrooms. Young marijuana sprouts do best under natural or fluorescent light. Halides and HPS might be too intense for mushrooms, but I am only speculating. I am basing my assumptions on the fact that marijuana sprouts do best under natural or fluorescent light for the first few weeks of growth. For all I know mushrooms would thrive under H.I.D. lamps. Full spectrum would work perfect. Maybe i will experment with combinations of different fluorescent lights. Mushrooms breath oxygen right? CO2 enrichment is a pain in the ass with marijuana. It is not nescessary to enrich a terrarium with oxygen is it. I would think all you would need is a fan.

Full spectrum will work fine... As will ANY light (regular light bulbs included), but i have noticed more dense pinnings with a full spectrum flour. I would also like to mention that HPS and Metal Halide Setups (for growing marijuanna, err tomatoes ) work excellent as well, but are not necessary and are more expensive.

Yea, O2 is a MUST... Not only does it increase cap size, but reduces the possibility of contams as well...

That's why i dont humidify anymore...
