Ok. whats the name of the genera that is ..??
Well, that old 1940's euro style propaganda German work? If you've ever seen the sketch "Sprokets" on SNL. Then you've seen the main character "Dieter".
Its that black and white, pseudo S&M, late 1980's industrial video style, kind of look?
Does ANYONE have absolutely ANY idea of what I'm talking about?

knumb, exactly. I know who does the KMFDM covers. He's pretty good. I'm a huge Anton Corjbin fan too...but I don't think he's all about neo-industrial artwork

The 'Genre' is Expressionism - Typified by heavy black strokes, very visceral, to capture the pure unadulterated emotion of the Subject in question- This aim is accomplished through distortion and exaggeration of shape and the vivid or violent application of color. Its roots are found in the works of V. van Gogh, E. Munch, and J. Ensor. In 1905 the movement took hold with a group of German artists known as Die Br?cke; their works influenced such artists as G. Rouault, C. Soutine, M. Beckmann, K. Kollwitz, and E. Barlach. The group of artists known as Der Blaue Reiter were also considered Expressionists. Expressionism was the dominant style in Germany after World War I
