It was very nice...

You know I came home and put on music after a long walk outside, and then put on sportscenter on mute...and when the A-Rod homer was being replayed I was peaking and had just smoked a joint...this apartment was the joyous big bang center of the universe.

I came home and there were so many games on - we just got the MLB package...I was just rocking out to the 13th Floor Elevators and the Stooges while watching shit-tons of baseball...it was great.  El Duque on acid - :thumbup:

Haha, I tripped when Daisuke debuted at Fenway, and I was off my rocker and whenever they switched to the Japanese broadcast I was amazed. They did play by play with such emotion... and they were making about as much sense as Oral and the rest of the American crew to me at that time.

C'mon...

I know your biased for your home team. But I dont see how anyone can look at what A-Rod did with his little "Oh, No! I'll slap the ball so you cant tag me", and not conclude that it was a total girlie play.

I've seen alot of guys get tagged out on the basepaths. I've seen guys try to dodge the tag, slide under the tag, even run off the basepath and be called out by the umpire. But A-Rod is the only person I have ever seen try, blatantly, to knock the ball out of the opposing players hand. And then he tried to say that wasn't his intention!

I like A-Rod, probably more than any of you Yankee fans. Well, you like him now that he's hitting. But that was a total sissy play. You know it, you just dont want to admit it.

I've done it myself and had people try to do it to me. The thing is you CAN'T be blatant about it. It has to be sneaky, like flipping the elbow out a little further while you run by. Perfectly acceptable. Doesn't work very often, though, but worth a shot when you're a dead duck anyway. Why do you think they run over catchers? To knock the ball loose.

As to that stupid cartoon you put up I can only say that the Yankees only pay 60% of that salary, he has had the greatest start in the history of baseball, and your stupid team could have had him too but they minged out. Minged. You know what that means? They were too fucking cheap.

I've never, ever denied being a lunatic about the Red Sox.

I never once tried to say that Arod's not worth every penny of that, especially the way he's playing this year.

Nor did I say that Varitek was having a good year, or that he shouldn't have taken his mask off before he swung at Arod - he should have, but I'm sure that wasn't the first thing that came to mind.
