Married People Vs. Single People...
    #6809252 -

I've noticed that as you get older, when you're in a relationship you start to lose touch with your single friends. And when you're single, you start to lose touch with your coupled up friends. I guess it comes down to common daily themes to relate to.

Who's married? Who's single in here? Let's find out which life is better. There are definitely perks and downsides to both.

Having a special someone, specifically, a RIGHT special someone, fulfills your social needs. A properly balanced relationship makes your mate a friend, lover, mother/father (shoulder to cry on), confidant and conspirator. You no longer have many fractured relationships, you have one complete one.

Single is freedom vs. being attached, where having someone is stability vs. novelty. If you truly transcend the silly little laws of the people, you can have both, if you want.

i was in a semi-stable relationship for a little over 4 years. i definitely miss it, but it wasn't working out. i've only been single for a couple months now, and i haven't really fallen into the singles' lifestyle. but i'm gonna agree with terrillius. it really depends on how well you connect with your partner.

I think single men have it better if they take advantage of it. I am recently single, and while it's not easy, I am doing my best to take advantage of having no other responsibilities other than myself. When you're with someone you love, you don't really care, but life with a woman, especially during rough patches, can be excrutiatingly stressful. Even in "healthy" relationships. Right now. No one dictates my actions in any way. I do what I want to do and if I don't want to, well there is no one else there to appease. I am sure there will come a time when the grass will be greener over there again, but right now I'm running in plush meadows.

Many people have this misconception in their head that they have to "change" to have a relationship. Why? If you are "changing" for someone, you have a poor relationship.

We all change in one way or another. It's a completely different lifestyle. It's inevitible.

Im recenly living with my soon to be husband. I have never had a "serious" relationship before (Im 33 now, we have been together for 3 yrs) And i agree with the original statement - I had single friends i would roll with when i was single , because we all had a common bond, as well as a common plight.

I think I am better as a couple than a single. and ive been a single for a looong while. and being a couple allows me to fulfill all the roles i like playing, as well as having someone with me that loves and cherishes me. He has taken over the role of my best girlfriend, i can tell him anything, get into trouble, do drugs and go on long train rides. we eat sushi and laugh at hipster douchbags, AND we fuck!
OoD
