i'm betting damn near every shooter in the history had intentions of killing as many, if not more people than the VA tech shooter. If, god forbid, there is another campus shooting that does kill as many, if not more people, it won't be a copy-cat. it'll just be another sick individual doing it for his own fucked up reasons.

i don't think a school shooters reasons are more fucked up than reasons that someone else has. for him his reasons are enough. now in the army strange people will order you to murder strange people for bogus reasons. this dude had his own reasons and he didn't give a shit about no one and went what he felt was the solution. i think it's very wrong to condemn them like monsters. by condemning them and not trying to understand them makes you somewhat similar to them anyway.

Yeah, but you have to take into consideration that this guy had no sympathy for the various people he injured/killed. I know he was a victim to some extend (they usually are) but man, that's overkill. Quite literally.

Easy to say when you aren't related to any of the victims. What if your brother was killed by this shooter? best friend? I doubt you would be sympathetic to the killer.

No matter how many problems a person encounters in life, they do not have any right whatsoever to kill an innocent person.

As for the original topic. yes I believe there will be another school shooting but it won't be a copycat.

Nope! A copycat won't,

but the next one will have to kill twice as many people to top the record.

Bush said it was horrible, but I do not hear him saying that a blown up jeep of American soldiers is bad. And two or three die every day over there, and hundreds of civilians every week. What a fucker he is. Not my president. I didn't vote for him.

his reasons aren't more fucked up than someone else? What someone else? There is no someone else that fucking blatantly in cold-hearted brutality, without even the guise of war, kills like that, other than those just like him. I don't care who the fuck this guy thought he was, whatever the fuck his poor sad life brought him, there are no reasons to justify his actions. not a-fucking-one.

Therefore, i will condemn his actions as being senseless, his reasons as being fucked up, and his demeanor as that of a goddamn monster. Sure, we should try to understand why he did it, but i can gauran-goddamn-tee you whatever the fuck his motives were, they won't remotely justify his actions.

and no, this does not make me, nor anyone who shares my feelings, in any way similar to him. know why? because we didn't fucking go on a killing rampage, massacring dozens DOZENS of innocent lives.

what a load of bullshit.

I just cant belive the guy had 1 pistol. Unless I was misinformed. The columbine fuckers and a bunch of other tries were like 3 pistosl 2 shotguns 2 peopel and pike bombs.
I mean.... damn
He mustve had like 6 or 7 clips loaded and in his pocket.

oh believe me, i get plenty pissed off about the situation in iraq as well. in fact, not too long ago i went on a similar rant.

that doesn't change the fact that this pisses me off as well. sorry for having an emotional reaction to an event that strikes closer to home.

and honestly, you're right, i don't get that sort of reaction every time it happens in iraq because 1: i stopped watching the news because it's far too depressing and 2: i like to try and focus on the happier things in life. unfortunately that's hard to do when something is shoved so forcefully down your throat, making you face aspects of life you'd rather avoid.

just because i ranted about this doesn't mean i'm completely unaware of the goings on outside the US. i'm not even sure where your hostility is coming from. what, do you think i have an unproductive misuse of anger or something?

Your logic is so unbelievably twisted that I'm not even sure where to start. So, because people are shot (many, who of course are shooting their own guns in return) we should not be angry because some angsty fuck walks into a school and offs 30+ unarmed people? Just because outrageous actions occur at time elsewhere in the world does not mean I should not be outraged when something like this happens here.

Oh, I have no hostility towards you whatsoever.  You're just lines of text splashed across my computer screen.  I just thought your post was an irrational outburst. 

You've stated that you're aware of the situation in Iraq.  If that's so, then I would find it hard to type something out like you sure did.  I find it kind of horseshit to react like you did because of the event taking place on US soil, while you have become complacent to the same events that happen over there in Iraq, on a daily occurance.  Did you read the link I sent you?  If so, then do you see how emotionally charged and therefore, irrational it sounded?

Anyone on this board should know what emotions are...chemical reactions in the brain.  My response to the news of this VT event was shock and sympathy for every single person involved.  But I have not let it affect my life in anyway.  And if you think that I have no feelings or compassion or whatever, then I'd like you to know that I live in Colorado and was affected rather closely by the whole Columbine event.  So I know how these things.  But since then, I've learned to realize that this shit happens all the time and the level of sympathy or compassion should not rather rise nor fall based on whose soil it happened on.
