I'm sooo close to just saying fuck windows and changing to Linux. We'll see if I end up getting a new machine in the next year or so, that would definitely facilitate the change.

Just do like I did and have a dual booting box. I can just pick which OS I want when I boot my computer. Linux rocks hard but it's not for the average user. You need to be a little tech savvy to make use of it right.

If only I could come up with shit that quick.

I spent the last few hours downloading image editing programs and decideing which one I like the most because this thread exposed to me the fact that I did'nt have one.

on the topic of icon names though, is there anyway to change the "recycle bin" to "shit can"?

Ubuntu is for wannabe geeks. Real geeks compile their OS from source, and use a source based package manager. None of this cushy gui stuff. I  only use a gui for browsing the web, everything else can be done in a terminal :grin:
