Personally, I think the Gulf Coast strain is the fastest. But I haven't tried every strain either. It usally always finishes in two weeks and alot of the time even faster.

I have mostly used hawk's Ec strain.. i have had 100% in 7 days from inoculation.. well, a little over 7, allmost 8, but on the 7th day.. (I innoculated late in the night..allmost morning.. ) oh, btw, that is with half pint wide mouth jars.. but! i added a small amount (1 tsp or so) of organic soy flour to my substrate, and other than that mmgg style. I dont know if that helped.. i keep them between 83 and 88 F..
