  I have a question about this. Would cloning a stone produce the same results as an agar isolation? A FOAF has cloned a decent sized stone (Ps. atlantis) and the mycelium from this clone is growing in a brown rice jar. The mycelium is ropey and looks a lot like cubensis mycelium. The jar isn't quite at 100% yet, but looks like there may be a few sclerotia forming already. Would of he been better off isolating on agar? Could he expect 1/2 jar of stones from this clone?

The brown rice jar, he didn't mix in any verm did he?

You should tell him next time to use either organic white rice or Rye berries.

As far as the agar goes he did it right, multi-spore to agar, take a stone that is forming and the jar will have a better BE.
