maybe this time i can join my kin in a drunken banter instead of just sitting there feeling sorry for my self for having to go through this lip-service yearly ceremony of consuming food, and then some.

so yeah, it's Passover today and unsurprisingly it hasn't passed over me :smirk:
and worse, i'm kinda starting to feel that holiday loneliness of single people wherever :shrug: i'm getting too old to stand this shit on my own! my brothers have long found a partner to escape with during these horrible charades of family gatherings.
it's never fun, it's always obligatory and uptight, always the damn chicken and beef, always those "special" treats from the distant relative whose name you're not quite sure about.

but this year, this year i found alcohol!
this year i'm going to test the hypothesis (tired and tested by kin and man all over) that alcohol makes such flamboyant lip-service events that little bit more bearable.

and still, lonely miserable me is going to have to be there and talk all about his new place and promising future :smirk:
yeah right.

it all sounds very grave and depressing, well its not really like that (it's just really fun being grave and depressing sometimes, with a smidgen of self pity too :hehehe: ) but then again it's JUST like that ya'know?

so happy Passover everyone!
remember where you came from and the freedom granted to you (just make sure you use it to get away from any more celebrations of god damned lip-service depressing family gatherings in disguise :yesnod: )

My family has virtually disbanded, but I recall artifical gatherings all too well. I found Valium to be my ally - to take the edge of petty annoyances and boredom, but for most, a bit of alcohol does the trick.

Nontheless (try to have a) Happy Passover!

Now give us the facts about the Green Leaf Party of Israel which seeks to have marijuana declared kosher, in order to have it legalized.
It sounds like a good plan, except for the fact that conservatives never play by their own rules if they lead to something they don't like.

apart from the Email i got from them saying happy Passover and a bunch of links to some stories in the press (which i never bother to follow) i'm in the dark on that one, sounds pretty ridicules to me.

even worse they declared cigs as not kosher for passover!
that means that for about two weeks people can't smoke, well that means next year there's going to be a special brand of cigs (which would probably cost twice as much) that WOULD be kosher HURRAY :smirk:
