Kinda hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like rosecomb, growth on P. cubensis caused by contact with chemicals, esp. petroleum based. (vaseline, etc.) could also just be an anomaly, keep an eye on it.

Yep,rosecomb it is.
I've had it a couple of times when i did extractions with toluen next to my terrarium.
There should be a shroomery freakshow in the gallery where we could post this kind of odditys.
Btw, as it grows it'll become more and more spectacular.

is this shroom saveable, or is it affected at all by the rosecomb??

should i harvest it now, or let it grow as I would other shrooms?

when harvested should i cut the growth off?

The rosecomb is nothing to worry about..
You can eat it..
Its just the shrooms geting into some weird mutations due to some chemical being near it (like petroleum)...

I still think it looks like a fat-ass and NOT like rosecomb..
Ive had rosecomb and frankly i dont really think it looks like it..
Hmm..i could be wrong of course...
But anyway..
Its still safe to eat..
