A Rosecomb is an abnormal growth that is often observed on the cap of a inmature shroom. They are believed to form as a result of the shroom coming in contact with chemical agents, especially those that contain a pertoleum base.

huagi, so far all i've grown is treasure coast from sporechicks and have had no reason to believe they have a mutation. I posted once that all of my stems were coming up with streaks of brown, but I have not had a problem with that. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

I'm not sure, but I think the brown streaking is from high humidity. It shows up on my Equador stalks also. Its definitely not a mutation. Off the subject, are tressure coast and Gulf Coast the same thing only the TC strain is isolated and the GC strain is wild? Just wondering because I have some Gulf Coast prints and I don't want to waste my time growing the tressure coast if they're the same damn thing.

It's my understanding that the GC and the TC are different substrains of cubensis.
