BJORK to play NYC's Radio City May 2nd

ALERT ALERT
I am SO glad it's in Radio City - the acoustics in that place are amazing - and it looks like you are in a large larve when the house lights are dimly lit. We are going with some shrooms and im sure a trip report will follow.Anyone else ino Bjork and planning to go see her. Anyone from NYC going - its be cool to meet up before hand. Yeah I love that venue. Definitely going to that show. I saw Interpol and Blonde Redhead there a while back.

Arcade Fire will be playing Radio City as well.

i am very excited - I have seen only a scant few artists I like in person - I saw Dead Can Dance at Radio City last year, and Bauhaus at the Nokia Theatre last yr as well. But Bjork is, well, this is monumental for me. I dont know if im going to do shrooms - sometimes you can really get lost in the whole beibg high thing to enjoy the show - but then again, the aural possibilities of Bjork + 2.5 grms of EQ = ???? - I just may have to find out whats thats going to be like.

Really, if it's your first time seeing Bjork, I wouldn't trip.

The show will be a trip in of itself, maybe that's a little hackneyed to say but it's true. I saw her play in Coney Island a couple of years back and the only "enhancer" I had was a huge joint...it was great.

I dunno, for me, when I see my FAVORITE artists for the first time, I don't like to trip. I lose too many small memories.

I was thinking along the same lines - when I trip I can get fixated on a pebble and miss the speeding bus heading towards me - but then again i have fallen asleep hugging my bookshelf speakers - so im going to ponder this - if i did do it - it would be alow dose just to enhance my senses, not to loose my Ego.
Im a low doser anyway - i dont like being that high.

radio city?

i'm going to try my hardest to get tickets for her show at the apollo. but really, i'll be happy to get tickets to any of her new york shows this tour.

i saw her at red rocks [in denver] for the vespertine tour and it was unlike any other show i have ever been to.

does she have lazer ligths and smoke machines and weird stuff?! - when i saw DCD they used a lot of colored light filters to change the mood - and draped some gossamar veils all over the stage - im jumping out of my skin - i think tickets go on sale this tuesday.
Bjork at the Apollo - I would go just for the "WOW" factor - but the acoustics in the Apollo ...meh

Im with you on this. Of course music has always gotten me higher than anything else anyway. But I know im in the minority on this. I saw Roger Waters last year for the first time. I wanted to remember every second of that show so I only had 1.5 grams. After the show, now thats a different story.

pretty damn happy, although i had hoped to get better seats for the united palace show or at the apollo.

regardless, i know both shows will be amazing :laugh:
