It may kill some of them, but if you can identify them from TMC then it will give yuo an exact method to get rid of them.. or tell you that you need to start over and be more carefull.. there are several mushie flys listed there.. I have eaten several of their larvae (cooked) in various mushroom dishes (not magic mush though) and they didn't kill me..(they were in the mushrooms, mostly in the gills, and before we cooked them we couldnt get them all out..) but they are supposed to effect the quality of the mushrooms

Thanks for your reply, but what is TMC ? there doesnt appear to be any larvae in the gills as far as I can see. I have found larvae in the mycelium substrate, a I am using an outdoor tek, I cant stop the flies coming there but I should be able to knock them out with something like peroxide. I have now harvested about half the shrooms and cant see anything wrong with them, unless my eyesight is failing me.I certainly wont be cooking these shrooms ! so if there any bugs I will have to eat them raw. Oh well they say what doesnt kill, fattens.
