MY SPOT. (A parking feud)
    #6656472 -

Okay, this is the weirdest thing...but I am feeling SUPER POSSESSIVE of my DESIGNATED PARKING SPOT outside of my apartment because A STRANGER has went ahead and parked their stupid Toyota Celica right where MY CAR is supposed to be.

It just really jagged at me.  HELLO I'm not paying 925 $$ a month for nothing.

I left a terse note written in pink on the windshield of the car.  That car better not be there when I wake up tomorrow otherwise this is war.

I know this is a weird reaction but I almost feel OFFENDED that someone else parked in MY SPOT!   I mean, it's just a piece of concrete...do I really OWN IT??  Don't I have the right to claim (and thus defend) that spot if my landlord says so?

Hells mutha fucking yes, if your dropping 12k into that spot a year you damn well do deserve to use it.

Damn, buy a bike, think of the stuff you could get for 12k a year :mushroom2:

If you want to be a real dick, you can call the tow truck man. That should teach em!

Is there no other spots for blocks away or something?

Otherwise you seem kinda crazy.  I can't imagine what else you must get hung up on if this gets to you so much.

If it's designated by the landlords, then you should definitely get it back.

In my case, I live in an apartment where the parking spaces are "free for all". The weird thing is that the guys will park just about anywhere, but like 80% of the females go absolutely rabid if you take their "perceived" parking space.

No, I definitely understand. There's just something about a parking space. You know it's going to be there when you come home from a long day or work/classes, or you can be ready to park right near your place of dwelling after buying a fuckton of groceries. But then you get there and someone's in your spot and it just throws a stick in the wheels.

If there are several open spaces next to yours, I think your a little out of line.

If yours is the only one open for several yards, and it's clearly marked, you might mention it if it becomes habit.

The people probably don't know any better so it's no use getting pissed.

Give me a fucking break.  EVERYONE here is well-aware of my neurotic, obsessive and slightly psychotic nature. And yeah, I DO get *hung* (snigger) up on someone else parking in MY SPOT because I am a creature of habit and that is MY SPOT.  So yeah, it seems a little odd even to me that I care so much, but GUESS WHAT??  I do, and I'm not sorry about it.     I'm "crazy?" Hahahaha.  Old news.

But hey, you were ALMOST an asshole.  Nice try, but PLEASE.  You can't outass a semi-psychotic, nearly-cosmic asshole like me, BWHAHAHAHA!!

Now come fuck me.  Dama wants your dick for brains.

<insert slurping noises here>

How's that for crazy?

Nope. EVERYONE has a parking spot that they use. We've been bitched at by the other residents for accidently using their spots before.

My note went like this:

Please don't use this parking spot. My partner and I have been parking here for four months and plan to continue and do so. Please choose another spot.

I know for a fact I said please TWICE. Sounds pretty ass-polite to me.

I wasn't trying to be an asshole. In more words or less you asked if your actions were justified. I said that I thought they were not. And you admitted and proved your craziness.

I understand if it's a complex where parking is at a premium. However if there are other spots I would let it slide unless it became a habitual problem. In which case I'd call a tow truck and wait for my spot to be cleared and then park my car there.

Whether or not I am crazy has NOTHING to do with MY SPOT.

You are the one who bandies around the word "crazy" like it's a weapon. What a weak way to prove your point: "derrUHHH, I don't care about parking spaces so because you do even though it's obviously one of the perks that you're paying for OMG you must be CRAZZZYYYY!!!"

I simply demonstrated that craziness is a rusted blade I'm well aquainted with.

*sneaks off to slash some tires*

edit: took out the word dickwad. I don't want to fight. You're right, I asked for an opinion somewhat, and I got it.

Well, I'm hoping my note will get the point across without the need for a tow.

Whatever, dude...I just had a change of heart about my approach.  I accept who I am and if you don't, that's not my problem.

My beef isn't with you.

I bet there was a spot right next to it or a couple spaces away. Is it that upsetting to walk an extra 15 seconds to get in your door? I think you are overreacting, especially if this is an isolated event. Thus by allowing something that, in the realm of all things that matter stacks up pretty low, to bother you soo very much. If you were my neighbor and I knew you acted like this about the parking spaces in front of our house...I would probably say, "damn this chick is crazy". But on the other hand I would probably never park in your spot again because I would be scarred you would do other crazy shit...like slash someones tires.

I have no problem with you either.

Pay some Iraqis to bury an IED under your parking spot and blow up anyone else who parks there, that'll stop people using your spot unless they're driving an M1 tank.
