A Story for you Friday Night Pubbers

This is what happens when you read Trainspotting. Hope you like it!

The Bastard

I lost track of the time, and the bastard stole my watch.

Hope he's enjoying his smack, the junkie-bastard.

I shifted my weight. The ribs felt okay, but the lower abdomen wasn't faring as well. Caught me off guard, the ambushing junkie-bastard.

Spots flash in front of my eyes as I struggle to lift my weight on my legs. He did a good job, the strong-armed ambushing junkie-bastard.

Picked a typical place to do his work. A dark alley, what a cliché. Bet he's getting off to the thought me lying in this filth. The perverse strong-armed ambushing junkie-bastard.

Hope my girl isn't worried. She'd be wondering where I was by now, maybe even got the nerve to call the police and report me missing. Couldn't have understood the inconvenience he caused, the inconsiderate perverse strong-armed ambushing junkie-bastard.

The next time I see him, I'm busting his head. I'd steal his watch too, if I wasn't so sure he'd already sold it. Bastard.

If you wrote that, it's way good (short, but way good). If you didn't, it was a good read. :wink:

Thanks, I'm considering a short story based on this.

I'm glad you got that impression too, I'm a fan of that style.

Edit: Yes, I wrote it, but I was highly influence by Trainspotting. That book was kick-awesome.

Me too. I remember watching some Magnum PI episodes with "Luther Gillis" from St. Louie working with/against Magnum, his storyline/point of view narrated in that style. :laugh:

Hell yeah, me too... I used to watch Magnum religously when I was younger. I can still here the theme song and all the voices.
