Holy shit, Brian Eno hired for Spore

#6653629 - 03/09/07 07:27 PM (19 years, 7 months ago)

http://totalspore.com/articles/official-spore-news/never-ending-soundtrack/

Brian Eno has been hired on by the Spore dev team, tasked with creating a soundtrack for the game that is procedurally generated... he will design a soundtrack that creates itself, and is theoretically infinite.

I'm a big fan of Eno, and an even bigger fan of Will Wright and Maxis' sandbox games... needless to say I need to change my shorts after reading this news.

That is amazing. I wonder what the logistics of designing it actually involve.

I totally cannot wait for this game.

Sandbox style games have always been a bore to me in the last few years, but this will revolutionize the way sandbox works.

He's guessing that they will.

Personally I believe that with EA riding their asses they'll have it done in time for the Christmas buying season.
