Anyone ever get that lonely feeling?

Where they just want to hit the road w/ all their stuff, and maybe never return to the place they came from? I've been feeling that way day and night. Every minute of the day and night I feel that way.

I don't know what it is about this place, maybe it's the fact that I've grown up here all my life, and never lived anywhere else, or maybe it's the unfriendly way people are around here (It's a gambling city, so people are vicious and it's all about money). Perhaps it's the desolate brown I see all year around (except in the sierras, but even that's patchy forest).
I'm tired of living in a cold desert. Every winter my right ear goes into a painful infection stage because of the temperature and humidity changes (temperatures in the 100's in summers and -0F's in the winters), and a warmer, more humid climate would probably help me out a lot.

I don't have many friends here. The ones I do will probably be leaving for California eventually, and I'm PNW-Bound. I want to look at Oregon or Washington before looking through Cali to live, but I need to get away from Nevada. I'm so depressed here, moving would be a nice thing.

sometimes the winters can get pretty ruff man.... i often have to struggle threw the last part of the winter. just keep your head up and remember we are living a miracle. even if it doesn't seem like it sometimes the fact that you can even make this post is a miracle... i strongly suggest meditation it helps so much to get you out of your head. as far as moving. do it brother. see the changes that you need to make and go for it. don't run away.. but just see what can be better and make it happen... good luck:heartpump::heartpump:

I'm in the process of saving the money (Because you know wherever you go, as a first time renter, it's gonna have a fatass security deposit, and other fees...). I think 500 is saved up now?

Yeah, I took that on a roadtrip.  That was actually in the background of a photograph of a boat that I had taken.  I decided to crop it because I liked it.  :smile:


But I have this yearning to see the trees of the coast again, to see rain and fog, and to see the flowers, and the cliffs, and especially the ocean.  I want to take photos of it, I want to relax near it.  I daydream about hiking in the redwoods and the rainforests of the olympic peninsula.  I daydream about hiking through fields on the channel islands.  Etc.

I'm lonely here too, no one does anything I enjoy really.  Not in town at least.

mav i know that feeling well.
as a matter of fact im in the middle of it right now, everything of mine in my trunk, and me living out your way (working) for the moment.

i hate to say it, but i reallllly dislike reno. I mean.... i have traveled over most of this country and beyond..... and to be honest, reno is one of the cities i can not take.

as a matter of fact, i was having this discussion with a co worker today. we were talking about how he heads out to reno every now and then to make some bets and chill for a while.....

I expressed my distain for your city by saying "reno is a dirty slut of its cousin Vegas" albeit im somewhat biased as i have only had bad expierences in that city.

long story longer, i think that where you live has alot to do with how you feel day to day, and living where you are, i can understand how you feel. Head out somewhere new, asap.

btw, if you put your $500 on hard 10 and it hits, youll have more than enough money to head out of town :wink:

Nah, Reno's cooler than Vegas. I'd have shot myself living out in Vegas. Reno has snowboarding and stuff. But it still is dirty and sucks.
