Purple Haze

Back when I first started smoking herb was also when I re-discovered the wonders of music, starting with Hendrix, then going to Phish, the Grateful Dead, so on and so forth. Thus began my journey to hippiedom. :laugh:

Anyways, I put on the Hendrix greatest hits CD that I discovered back when I was first discovering altered states of conciousness (remember what it was like when you first started smoking herb? :tongue2:) this morning and all the memories came flooding back again. :grin:

Listening to Purple Haze again at 16, high as a kite, after hearing it all the time as young child, and actually getting it for the first time. As I recall, that was the first time a song truly spoke to me.

some of my oldest non high memories ( like age 2-4) have grateful dead songs in the backround

i also do remember the first time dark star actualy ripped my soul out and put it back together after one of m first time smoking. (the song not the thread maker :wink: )

I just introduced a good friend to Grateful Dead last night.

I haven't bumped my GD cd in a while and it brought back a rush of nostalgia. Good stuff.

70's is the best music.Altough I listen now some psy called things but prefer mostly oldies.

yeah i also had the same times when i was younger. i would always talk about Jim Morrison and jimi Hendrix when i was with buds having a good time and how i wish i could be in their era.
the doors and Hendrix bob Dillon, Jefferson airplane and Jane's Joplin, ill bowl up for that now.:levitate:
