I liked it, but never got around to finishing it. Got about 75% of it read before I got side tracked and it got buried in some box somewhere. Thanks for reminding me about it!

Is it fiction or non-fiction? And what is it about? It sounds like something I would like since I definitely love the earth

Its fiction. It's sort of a science fiction techno-thriller i guess. It takes place about 50 years in the future when the world has become vastly over populated and pollution has become a signifigant threat. A miniature black(singularity) hole being developed gets sucked into the center of the earth and threatens the destruction of the earth. Most of the sci-fi stuff is based on advanced physics and theorys and alot of it is for the most part pretty acurate. Anyway, it follows that main story but has alot of cool stuff in it having to do with possible fates of the planet and the human race due to overcrowding, lack of food, and pollution...As well as the inevitable advanment of computer technology and possible social changes that will occur. For instance the baby boomer generation becoming senior citizens and holds massive political power, advanced hackers capibilities in the future, the widespread utilization of privacy invading gagets, flooding of rivers levees, the eventually formation of a "world government" (like the UN times 20) The advancment of the space program and unification of the space nations in building space stations.
He really gets into great detail when describing what the world may be like in a short while, and most of its pretty plausible and kind of scary in a way. Alot of the theories in the book are really good ideas to. It's a good book you should check it out.
