Friend's dad works as security at Bonnaroo...

A girl I know just informed me that her father works for security at Bonnaroo every year, and that last year they busted a guy with 13 pounds of shrooms. I told her that her dad was a minion of Satan, and she agrees.

Anyone here happen to know that guy, or are there so many people there that get busted with that amount of shrooms every year that theres no telling who it is?

My cousin's girlfriend's friend's husband got busted at bonnaroo with 12.8 lbs, LOL.

The word you're looking for isn't busted, it's "jacked"

As in "they jacked 13 pounds of shrooms from a guy"

If he got busted at the entrance he would have been arrested on site, likely. They had Coffee County cops all over that place last year.

Sounds extremely flaming.  The festivals in Alaska are on private property that police can't come on unless they're called about something, in which case they come take care of the disturbance and leave.  And they of course sit down the road looking for drunk drivers.

However the securty sometimes does "confiscate" stuff from the dumber kids that come, it's not like the kids even have to give up the goods but they see a long haired guy in a "Karma patrol" shirt and decide he looks like an authority :lol:

One guy used to come by our camp site after he got done "patrolling" with like 2 confiscated coolers of beer and a confiscated bag and party with us.

Bonnaroo was all private property last year (this year Superfly bought part of the farm). When we went in the Roo security worker told us if we had anything illegal to give it up or they would find it, trying to act intimidating. Of course we told him no and he just looked in the back and let us through. We packed all our illegal stuff in first in the back of an Explorer. Even if they wanted to find the stuff they would have to spend 20 minutes unpacking and looking.

The police were mostly there just for traffic control but I heard that at one entrance they actually had dogs randomly sniffing cars, and that they went up and down the lines of cars on the interstate sniffing. Of course I can't back this up but it sounds like something they'd do, however illegal it may be.

I always pack anything illegal I'm bringing as far buried and as hidden as I can as a general rule, I mean you might get pulled over on the way to the festival for all you know. However it's only served me well once, when I was pulled over for "a brake light not working" which it was, I just wasn't using my breaks (The Trooper was looking for drunk drivers leaving, luckily I was sober and explained my brake light worked and he could let me be on my way).

The day K-9 units start attending the festivals I want to go to is the day I stop attending them.
