First off I'd like to say Boston has taken the spot, likely for the rest of eternity, as the pussiest city in the nation. The ONLY city to make a big fucking deal over the ATHF ad campaigns. So here's the press conference for the two gentlemen who masterminded the whole operation. It's very amusing...

Glad these guys have a sense of humor about it.  Sad part is that they'll probably get convicted on some stupid charge relating to the patriot act.

Not surprisingly, the reason the officials are pushing for them to be convicted of the simulated infernal device charges is because a conviction would result in them being fined for a quantity relative to the estimated cost of the city's response.

So, the city fucked up and spent way too much money... and now they want these guys to pay for it (quite literally).

Thankfully, that charge requires that it be proven that they purposefully intended to scare people, which considering that they were merely doing what they were hired to do is probably not even remotely possible to prove beyond reasonable doubt. No jury would convict them, although honestly they should be able to sue to city for the cost of their defense.

Very true. I can't believe how much the entire city of Boston blew this shit out of proportion. And those damn muckraking journalists. Every last one of them should be ashamed of themselves.

Not that I was planning to anytime in my life but I will never visit the city of Boston. I'd rather whip my head with a sock full of quarters for an hour.

Believe me, nobody in Boston took this shit seriously... there's an extremely uptight city legislature and police force, but on the whole the citizens are truly enlightened and are not paranoid about all the bullshit the media would have you believe.

The government there should be convicted of stupidity and issue taxpayers a refund equal to the amount of funds they wasted. The funds should come from a reduction in their pay.

That they are so stupid as to mistake those funnies for bombs is bad enough, but that they are trying to shift their stupidity on those two guys is just pathetic.

I'm so glad that they are making a laughingstock of them. Thank goodness they're comedians! :lol:

The problem is not only that it cost the city $1mil to respond to this, but they don't want to look like idiots. Some asses are on the line and they'd rather these two go down.

haha...the reporters act as if it is a crime to make a joke out of there questions. i think it helped them out by saying what they did. no people watching that will just take it for what it is and hopefully leave it alone.
