help on poly sci paper

In my poly sci class we have to do a research paper. I chose the War on Drugs, and my professor said that it was too "broad" so i have to narrow it down. Anyone have some sugggestions on narrowing the subject down but still being able to write a 15 page paper?

On a specific drug? Write your paper on mushrooms. Er, I mean write a paper about mushrooms.

You could do 15 pages specifically on the money wasted... Something like "The Financial Clusterfuck (War on Drugs)".

write about the hypocrisy of shoving amphetamines onto kids in the midst of a "War on Drugs"..... I mean, the war on drugs which cannot be regulated and taxed and aren't corporate designer drugs.

You could have 15 pages easily regarding the financial and political ties of congressmen, presidents and CEO's for Big Pharma, for instance:

* Former President George Herbert Walker Bush (one-time member of the Eli Lilly board of directors)
* Former CEO of Enron, Ken Lay (one-time member of the Eli Lilly board of directors)
* George W. Bush’s former director of Management and Budget, Mitch Daniels (a former Eli Lilly vice president)
* George W. Bush’s Homeland Security Advisory Council member, Sidney Taurel (current CEO of Eli Lilly)
* The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (a recipient of Eli Lilly funding)
