So... what the is this game?
    #6482420 -

What are we doing? Why are we living? Why do we eat. Why do we move forward.

I'm starting to think we're a video game and the game is called gene factory. it's a online mmorpg and it has a highscore bored. what do you think? :P

edit: screw that, that game would fail. what was i thinking?

Seems like it's failing to me.

Those are impossible questions to answer, to each his own though. Gotta just make the best guess possible

Indra's Net - There is an endless net of threads throughout the universe. The horizontal threads are in space. The vertical threads in time. At every crossing of threads there is an individual. And every individual is a crystal bead. The great light of absolute being illuminates and penetrates every crystal being, And every crystal being reflects not only the light from every other crystal in the net, But also every reflection of every reflection throughout the universe.

who are we?
what is living?
what is eating?
where do we go?

ask open questions
receive open answers.

children ask why questions to entrap adults in endless attention.
adults ask why questions to ensure confusion and blame.
why questions are flawed by their genesis.
what (and other) questions go to the real matter.
the abstractions implied in why questions are sidestepped with this mental aikido.

Sounds very gnostic. Trapped in material realm of biology and geniology by the will of some demurge. The why of it I think is beyond the Human-ape-mind, thats why creation is such an abstract topic and religion seems to place it all on a creator which is fairly easy to cognize, at least compared to other explanations. If one really thinks about it the big bang is just as presumptious as creationism. Some may have insight where I don't but it seems to me that any linear explanation of how we got here is absolutely uncomprehensible. Its the problem of infinite induction. Who created the creater and in turn who created him? (or her for those feminists out there)

Pippin: I didn't think it would end this way.
Gandalf: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path . . . one that we must all take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass...
Gandalf: ...And then you see it.
Pippin: What, Gandalf? See what?
Gandalf: White shores . . . and beyond. A far green country, under a swift sunrise.
Pippin: Well, that isn't so bad.
Gandalf: [Softly:] No... No it isn't.

"Why?" is the ultimate question in my mind, but one that just instantly proves the utter incomprehensibility of it all...

It seems as a human race, and as individuals we have the unconditional belief that one day we will be-able to understand the impossible. At least with this belief we strive for more information and understanding, we think more, we feel more. So this curiosity stimulates mental/brain growth, to a degree that it appears we are getting closer to some ultimate "conclusion."

I shake my head in disbelief when I see the "M theory" being called the "Theory of everything." In my perception it's about as primitive as a cave man drawing stick figures on the side of the cave to express human nature. I do strongly feel, that no matter what we discover in this objective realm, there will always be the same amount of mystery & wonder.

We are doing what we do, we are living, cause we live, and we eat cause we eat, just as we move forward, cause we "move forward".

To assume that we'll never figure 'it' out isn't very bright, because then you'll stop trying...and who knows...maybe it's a lot simpler than we think. Things usually are.

You could ask a seemingly challenging question like 'why does energy exist?' Upon realizing that you're comprised of this energy, you discover that you can awnser this question yourself. Why do you exist? Observe what you are always doing. Given the present circumstances, you are doing what you want. You exist to do what you want, and because you can. As you have the choice to kill yourself, you can also conclude that there is some choice in the matter. You choose this because this is what you wanted. Why do you want this? For the experience. Life is about experience. The universe is a facilitator of experience. We evolve, in mind, body, and soul, through experinece. Where are we evolving towards? Go explore the experiences provided to you by...you...and see. You might actually discover some things that could surprise the hell out of you. Certainly had that effect on me. I know the answer to every question I ever had. They're out there, but no more than they are within. You are the universe. Understand yourself, and you'll understand very much.

As for the game, it's about overcoming fear, and loving everything, from what I see.

Don't be fooled, who do you think made it the way it was? for those that are responsible what carrot on a stick are they selling? don't be systemized by you predefined conceptions of others predefined conceptions, everything is not all peaches and cream, I'd say pierce that view harder, and that purpose will unravel
