Disrupting the vegetative cycle

I know that any significant amount of light recieved during the 12 hour dark period by flowering plants can cause problems. So most growers never peek into the flowering chamber when the light is off.
What happens to mothers and cuttings that are vegging if you disturb thier 6 hour dark period? Will the plants pre-flower? It seems to me that disturbing the vegetative cycle would only result in more vegetative growth and not cause flowering. Does anybody know?

If they get some light (or even full light) in their 6 hour dark period they will just continue to grow. They will only flower due to a lack of light.

Some people use 24hours of light in the veg cycle, it doesn't cause flowering.

Thanks. The reason I asked is because my veg room isn't totally dark when the light is off. I like to shut my light off for a while to let the plants cool down during the day when I'm not home.

i only grow autoflowering strains indoors now because the light cycle for cannabis is generally not ideal for my other plants. currently im growing lowryder#2 and it looks so much better than the first lowryder. its not done until early march tho, this strain will flower on just about any light cycle no matter how random it is
