clump of spore's left in syrenge's????????

Ok I inocculated some jars today and there was a huge (and I mean huge) cluster of spores sitting in the bottom of the 2 empty syrenges (yes I did shake them well before inoculation) well is this normal and if not where do you think I skrewed up????

You could probably suck up some DH2O or something back into the syringe, shake it up real good until the cluster breaks up, and inocluate some mroe with it. I'm kinda stabbing into the dark though, not sure.

By a bottle of distilled H2O.. I think it comes sterilized. Flame tip of the needle. Wipe alcohal on side of H2O bottle where you will puncture.Stab,Pull Plunger back. Now, you have a usable syringe. I have done this with success but w/t Jar & PR Cooker.

your never going to get them all out. It's a sad waste happens to me all the time. But you've got enough in to do what you wanted.There has to be some acceptable losses. The last time i tried pulling up some spring water and innoculating a jar that puppy was contaminated fast. Maybe distilled wil work better. i don't bother anymore. my last innoculation when cleaning the syringe out you should have seen how dark it was. Heartbreaking knowing the thousands of spores being wasted but what can you do it's gonna happen.

it happens..........terrible waste!!! If you re-use your syringes besure you get those out for ur next syringe...(if you let ur syringe sit for awhile).

don't count on sterility out of the bottle.
(78?) percent of bottled water tested in the u.s. contained signifigant amounts of bacteria. i'm not sure on the percentage but i think it's close enough. i got this from the paraniod handbook.

yea i know what you mean. the place that delivers the water has two grades
"Purified Water " and "Premium Spring Water" i pay extra for the spring water but who knows What i get.
