I got beat up pretty bad a few weeks ago... sucker punched me, knocked me out, then proceeded to punch me in the side of the head probably 15-20 times. After I woke up and realized I received a concussion, I proceeded to celebrate! Kidding...

who the fuck likes getting beat up? if you like it, then you're probably not getting really beat up bad enough, or you've been beat up too many times and your brain is just mush. seriously, i understand the pleasure from pain thing, but head injuries are no joke.

Yeah, most of the fights I been in were not bad, just fist fights. However after the beating where the kid broke my arm and fucked up my rib, I changed my childish rebellious behavior. I have a very high threshold for pain and used to enjoy fighting but ever since that one night I have avoided fights as best as can, and do not give a shit what people think if I walk away. The rush is fun, but you can get that in boxing which is a lot less risky.

couple hundred thousand years ago, was a pretty common thing to defend something from being felled by some predator. Sibling, offspring... et al.
