i've only gotten beat up once, and knocked around a couple times. personally i like it. i also used to do martial arts alot, and its even better than getting beat up, because you'll get punched in the head, but not have your head stomped on or whatever.
i miss it.
something about getting hit alot was very thereaputic, it relaxed my mind and my body. made me less anxious and tense.
my favorite is getting suprise punched in the head real hard. its just like this moment of total blank. the only problem is headaches afterwards.
when i used to be more full of anxiety while tripping i would imagine myself getting punched and kicked alot.
edit: i left out the zen like anger that comes with getting hit. several minutes of no thinking just feeling and action.
edit2: i also left out that in particular i like grappling. for me the moment of successfully being on the verge of strangling someone to death after having to strain every muscle of my body against thiers was almost orgasmic. also, i miss the feeling of having to suddenly and completely surrender to another person or face having my arm broken.

no? i feel great and i've been cleaning my house?
nothing about the getting hurt was negative to me back in the day. i viewed it totally as a sensory and emotional rush.
i think its a good quick fix for being too much in the mind, and requires alot more attention, sensation,feeling and participation than your average sex.
edit: i hope my friend still has a picture that he took of me after getting in a fight. i have a huge bump on my head and blood all over me and i've got this huge serene grin on my face. its pretty cool.
i'm think now that alot of these views come from my younger days. when i was in middle school and highschool i ended grouping with all the crazy martial arts kids. everyone was into kung fu movies and samuria and dragonballz. we all used to just beat the crap out of each other in the woods every week for several years.
i think we all wanted to be warriors who lived and experianced life to the fullest and were willing to stand up for what we believed in. the only one of us who still does martial arts is my friend who decided to totally concentrate of tai chi and become a taoist healer... not exactly warriors life, but giving up the idea of fighting as a neccassity is apart of growing up i guess.

I like self injury sometimes. But not getting beat up. Sometimes I get so pissed it feels good to go at it at a wooden post until the knuckles are bloody and I regret throwing my fists... does that count? Man I got some wicked scars.

I used to get in fights all the time and brawls. I used to love the rush you get from a fight. When I was going through a hard time in my life, I would fight any one who just looked at me funny and got my ass beat a lot and jumped. I always felt better after the ass beating because I felt I deserved it, I was going through some deep emotional pain at the time and getting my ass beat was great. Brawls and fights were always fun and you never feel anything in a fight. However I stopped fighting and being an asshole after my old dirt bag friends beat the shit out of some kid and 5 cars rolled up with bats. All are boys took off except 3 and I was one of them, my friend got it the worst because he took most of them on, I was over by a tennis court with three kids. I broke my arm and fractured a rib. It was the scariest thing that ever happened to me, I would never be able to hit someone with a bat. There's no fair fights any more and I don't risk it. I will avoid a fight of all coast, but if I can tell the kids going to fight me Ill be the first to swing. Since then (which was about 2 years ago) I only been in 1 fights which ended in me putting him in a head lock until he calmed down; and walked away from many potential fights. I used to hang out with real dirt bag kids that always fought any one, even each other; at the time I loved the rush and the adventure however I now feel fighting is pointless and there's no such thing as a fair fight on the streets any more (at least around here). Fighting on the street is stupid and thats why I box now. Its fun, a great work out and you still get a rush out of it.

I will defend myself in a fight, and have fought with some of my friends while drunk but nothing extreme, but it was just out of fun.
But no I dont like getting hit too hard, but I find it helps you defend yourself better in the long run when you get hit a few good times. But I prefer being in less pain or any pain at all.

Man, I used to love the rush I'd get during a fight when I was younger. However, I didn't appreciate the pain very much as I can never really feel getting hit when I'm that hyped up. I have to admit though, I never really felt satasfied after I had a fight, no matter how it ended. If I lost I felt like a loser, and if I won I felt like a psycho.

lol, I used to love that shit after a fight(feeling like a psycho). I used to hate loosing to, especially when I thought I won and then Id find out I got my ass beat. However when I was all screwed up and at my lowest point, I used to love getting my ass kicked, I felt like I deserved it and the pain helped me forget about all my real problems. It was kinda sad, but I'm 100% better now. When me and my 3 friends got fucked up, that was scary as hell, I couldn't believe the kid was swinging a bat at me and I knew my arm broke right away, thank god there were kids kicking me because if it was just him I think the kid would have kept swinging the bat at me and fucked me up more.
