i love the styling in your drawing ...  there's an anxious approach to your linework, it reminds me a lot of Ralph Steadman's work ...

and oh yeah, i especially love his ridiculous coat ...  :cool:

I think i drew the coat like that becuase deep down inside...i really want that exact coat for myself...

awesome drawing.
develop that style into 3 foot paintings, and you can be featured in juxtapoz.
its funny, cause the first thing i thought about commenting on was steadman. then i saw it was the first thing commented on already.
great stuff though. and the photo is beautiful.

I did the line work really quickly on paper with a normal black pen, then scanned it into photoshop CS, and blured the lines a bit, then coloured it in with solid colours, using a mouse (my tablet pen is broken..) and then used a bunch of brushes that come with photoshop to add texture and some stains to the coat, etc. Of course you'll need to know your way around photoshop, and use layers often.

I like the drawing but I think you're killing it with that cheesy background. Get rid of the little m's flying off into the sunset.

I really like the photo, nothing to criticize there.

i actually like the background. i like how hes so tall, how his legs are so long and skinny, and all you can see is the sky behind him. makes you wonder how long those legs actually are. But i do think you should make the clouds in the background more like the clouds in the foreground. (or vice versa) i don't think theres anything wrong with the little flying m's it goes with the sketchiness, almost child-like, playful lines. i would lower the opacity on them though.
