System freezes up randomly

Ok so my system freezes up at random ass times,even when I leave my computer TOTALLY still and not using it.Here at my specs...

Running Windows XP sp2
AMD athlon XP 1700+ (overclocked it a lil)
256MB DDR RAM
Nvidia tnt riva graphics card
sound blaster audigy
40gb maxtor HD with 20gb slave

This sucks,I had 512mb of ram but i had to take one out because it was giving me errors...hmmm can overclocking my proce do this?

Yes, try running StressPrime overnight and see if you get any errors.
