1 ID+VA hunt results.

Well, fourth hunt and I still have come up shy, at least I think.  The following 2 pics need an ID.  These dropped a light cinnamon spore print.  The first pic was at the find site, the second was a day after being in a paper bag.  The stems were darkish, and again no real appearant bluing, unless the mycellium was a slightly light blue because of the flourescent lighting it was under.

These next few are just some cool fungis I picked up along the way.  I also found (and should have taken pics) my first morel, and (forgot the name) one of those very pretty, bright orange, SLIMY, tanslucent, orange/green stemmed mushrooms that resemble a liberty cap in shape.  Finding it at least made my day as it was the coolest looking shroom I've seen.  Now, had I been tripping and seen it...i would have probably sat there starring at the damn thing for hours, stroking its cap while mumbling 'pretty shroom, pretty shroom' or the like  .

out of all of those I would not eat any
you would have to be stupid to eat the green one, but the red one looks like
a fly agaric

HAHA!  I guess you musta misread the post.  I was just trying to get an ID on the top two pics (same shrooms).  No, there's no way in hell I'd eat the others!  Especially the green one.  Nasty!  Not quite that deperate yet.

The red one I think I know is poisonous but its not fly agaric.  I kinda wish it was, because then at least I would have found ...well...something.

Where in VA? I live in Northern VA. I drove 45 min. to a cow pasture along the potomac yesterday with a friend to do a quick little hunt. An hour of getting attacked by nats and avoiding stepping in cow shit yeilded NOTHING. Well, I found 3 types of mushrooms. 2 types of LBM's, one of the two had inverted caps, but no sign of a veil and didn't bruse blue, the other had the classic gradient along the cap, but alas, no veil or blue bruise. I left both alone. The other was kind of weird~ small, white, and harry looking. Those were all the mushrooms we ran accross, pretty disappointing.
