plastic wrap instead of tin foil?

If someone were to cover their jars in plastic wrap instead of tin foil when sterilizing them would it make any difference? Also is it normal to have excess substrate material following the MMGG tek?

I would imagine the plastic wrap couldn't withstand the extreme heat that sterilization renders. You would be better off with just spending a couple of bucks on foil.

money wasn't the issue I just didn't happen to have any handy when everything else was ready. The shrink wrap made it through just fine some I'm not terribly worried.

i think the plastic would heal better at the innoculation sites... it's also my hunch that this type of cover would not allow for proper gas exchange, anyone else?

With my experience, it comes off when exposed to water. It did make it through the PC for an hour.. although I did have tinfoil overtop of it. If you use serane wrap, you have to also use an elastic band to hold it to the jar so the water won't get up and under it.
