Yowza! First pins!!!!

I guess I must be doing something right.
The funny thing is that the pins appeared on the cases I thought would be unsuccessful.
Basically, I have a few patches of heavy colonization on the the sides of these and nothing else.
On the other one, I have nice, even, althought light (I wanted to make sure it would not overlay) colonization. Nothing shown up on that one yet.
Any suggestions?
The strain is PESA in cow dung, cased with 50/50+. Temp 73, RH 91-92

1.How thick is your casing layer?
2.How many days has it been since you cased?

This can be caused by lack of moisture in the casing.
Also just to be sure check to see if it is cob web mold or such.

Once again, how long has it been since you cased? Pins will show about within about a week after introduciing it to light, decreasing temp(10 degree drop), and giving them fresh air 1-3 times a day.

Are you fanning the casings?

Give it some time, the way it sounds your 2nd casing is doing a lot better then your 1st one but time will tell.

1. On the ones with patched mycelium, pretty thick, perhaps 1/2 inch. On the one with spread mycelium 1/4 inch.
The mycelium on the first two is much whiter and robust looking than the one that is more wide spread and not pinning.

It is not cobweb, there are pins coming out of the patches. Smell is fine as well. I lightly mist the casing pretty often. There are tiny beads of water on the mycelium, especially on the more widespread colonized one.

It has been a week, I think since I introduced them to light, perhaps six days.

I fan them as often as I can, 3, 4, or 5 times a day. I also have 2 aquarium pumps blowing air through water+h2o2 in bottles. The temp has been decreased to the 72-75 range.

What I'm wondering about is if the casing with more spread colonization needs to be cold shocked, or incubated a bit longer. The mycelium looks light compared to the other patched casings.
