Casing that won't pin **PIC**

The casing you see above, was introduced to light (along with a small drop in temperature and a 12 hour cold shock)
18 (!) days ago.
Room temp has been 21-24 Celcious and the humidity inside the casing chamber %95+
The strain is Cambos and i give them 12-14 hours of light each day from a fluorescent tube.
I fan 3 times per day
Is it normal to wait so long for pins?
Did i make a mistake?
The casing layer was 100% colonized a few days ago... is this a must for the fruiting cycle to begin??? Any comments?Any mistakes?
Please do not confuze the shining verm particles with knots
Thanx

It might have dried to much water up during this process, concidering mushrooms are 90% water! But it could be something else!

Yea im having the same problem except w/ a straw bulk grow. Im thinking that maybe there is a contam in the center of the grow that is causing it not to pin, but i dont want to cut a hole in the center and check because it may just pin....who knows...

Id carless who is right or wrong but please show me white vermiculite, did you mean you have perlite on your casing layer if so why. Verm is brownish with gold tinges the knots on your casing look white and bally thats what is refered to as Hyphal knots.

To me it looks like a combo of overlay and water-starvation stress. You should patch on top of that with a thin layer of casing mix and put a light on it. It looks like water-starvation because the strands go grey when that happens. Mist it some more.

Actually i was refering to the vermiculite particles.....in pictures i made some time ago, they where shining so much because of the flash, that shroomerites thought they where knots.
Anyway, i think finally none of us was right here, because of an unexpected problem that was not part of the pictures.....
It seems that the clear lid of my rubbermaid was not clear enough.....it was trancparent alright but the type of plastic they used was the "foggy" style, and i think the light that could penetrate this lid was not enough.
I replaced with saran wrap, and i ll post the results, if any.
Thanx for your help shroomers!
