A good bit of info. I fan dry copes in a weaved basket, they will all dry the same-the other lookalikes will turn greasy and mushy in about 2-3 hours. Throw that crap out. They dry very well in 60-70 degrees F. Space them out on their caps and turn over carefully from time to time, make sure air is moving over and under. Store in cool, dry area in paper lunchbags and you are set for at least a month. Mushrooms don't last too long around my house, so I don't know how long they would keep using this method past 6 weeks or so. Make sure you keep that humidity down. Be safe and keep a good attitude, do a good deed for a stranger, enjoy every day of your life, pass on your knowledge, and listen to KRAFTWERK while having fun.

Exremly good luck has been had in central tx lately, anyone in this area the hunt is on, take a peek around your local fields and see whats up, tis a good season.
