It'd be crazy if the new terrorist attack was a ton of small planes all flying in from different directions and crashing into random intersections and buildings, a bunch of kamikaze attacks on different points in the city. Maybe this was the warning shot and in a few hours we'll be bombarded. F-16's will course back and through across the skies over the Manhattan cityscape firing at will.

i work in the citigroup building on 53rd & lexington [19 blocks & a couple avenues from the building that was hit].

the citigroup building management just contacted our HR department. they are saying that it was an authorized aircraft that had been taking pictures of the area and unfortunately ran into a building on 72nd and york. there are no security compromises, and there is no reason to expect any additional incidents.

but it's a crappy day out today - why would anyone be flying around taking photos in the foggy rain?...

Looks like it was the starting pitcher for the Yankees who lost the last game. Cory Lidle owned that plane and there were 2 on board.
