Masterlow seed run

Ok so while I am waiting on my seeds for my next grow to get here and then grow a little, I am going to do a seed run of Masterlow (Master Kush X Lowrider)

The seeds were germinated on Sept 5th and showed sex on the 23rd. I just so happened to get a male and female. These were both transplanted from 4"x4" pots on Oct 1st. The female into a 5gal pot and the male into a 2gal. The male was then moved outside for selective pollination of the female.

My Area is 4'x4' with 800watts of light. Venting and blower fan keep temps during lights on right at 80 degrees. Soil mix is 50% peat based planting mix, 40% perlite, and the other 10% is made up of crushed limestone, bone meal and manure.

These pics were taken during transplant.

October 5th female pollinated on lower and side branching only.

Fuck if MJ doesnt produce the most beautiful plants out there. They are so mesmerizing. Good job with the grow and good luck for the future.

FYI, Masterlow is at the very least (Master Kush X Lowyrder)X Lowryder. There might even be another lowryder father in in there, but its definitely crossed back to Low at least once.

Did you kill that male?

ah if only we could switch positions ...
ive got so many a great seed , but neighter time nor space to cultivate my illustrious plants.
that lowryder is a beauty and it would seem that growing them is extremely easy ( or much more simple at worst ) ...god if i could get my hands on some lowryder. i envy you my friend, but good luck with your grow !  :flowerchild:  :borfase:

You were probably talking to me though.


Your first post was probably not directed at me (...god if i could get my hands on some lowryder. i envy you my friend), but you replyed to my post instead of The_Reverend's.

Common mistake (i'll do it sometimes), it just makes it harder to follow a thread.

OK, forgot to mention above.I thought it was a given, but she has been at 18/6 light cycle the entire grow and will probably remain there till she is finished.

why not keep that lighting on 24/7 , if im not mistaken Lowryder is rather receptive to that...
you said your running 800w of _____ ? HPS HID or CFL's ?

18/6 is a better schedule for the lowryder. He knows what hes doing :wink:

I have a 800watt SunSystem VII Dual Bulb Metal Halide/HP Sodium.

And as for the light schedule, I picked this one for now, and I may change it on the next go with these.

But this is what Joint Doctor had to say at the Highbred forums:

For autoflowering plants, more hours of light per day will actually speed up the plant's maturation process. In other words, increasing the amount of light per day will lead to earlier harvest - NOT higher yields.
This explains why some people have harvested after 6 weeks from seed; On a 18 or 20 hour per day schedule, it seems that Lowryder matures about 2 weeks faster than on a 12-hour shcedule (8-9 weeks to maturity).
