do you know how to use BitTorrent? Do some searches on there, I've found hundreds.

Here's a tasty library called the Kanye West Drum Library.
Whether or not there is a library called this, and if it has any real affiliation to Kanye West, I do not know.
But I do know there's a buttload of samples in there (415 as a matter of fact), and they're pretty good. Obviously hip-hop oriented.
Enjoy!

But as far as public trackers, go to http://torrents.to and do a metasearch in each one of the other trackers (mininova, isohunt, etc)

High hats samples are actually not too great at replicating a human touch to the actual cymbal... a producing buddy of mine always does the drums completely step sequenced, but then he live records his hats over it, and it sounds exactly like a real kit.

Right, because there are so many different ways to play a hat, degrees of openness of the hats, quickness and velocity of closing the hats, slashing the hats or pulling off after the note is played. In order to duplicate that effectively with step sequencing, you would need to be using at least a dozen different samples. You could probably pull it off, but it'd be very tedious.

Get the Computer Music magazine, they give you samples, loops, even vst's. I wish there was a way to subscribe in the US.
