we should not be exclusive like the christians, and show we are better people by being open and accepting of all religions, no matter how much we know that they cause war and hate.

Because if they were to start a new thread just to insult every member of a religion it would be too obvious that they were merely bigots.

Sneaking in a little bit of prejudice edgewise in someone else's thread tends to let them get away with something that would otherwise be blatanly unacceptable. Of course, it's still blatantly ignorant and unacceptable, but this way they get away with it.

I have a really good friend who is a Messianic Jew.  He grew up really sheltered and was only allowed to listen to "Praise Music".  He has tons of Christian rock CD's.  The ones that I heard blew such big dick.  :shrug:

I really should start a thread about this guy.  He's so nutty but he's cool.

Many types of people go out and commit violence; not just religious people.  Nationalists, anarchists, socialists, etc... have all committed violence to further their cause.  The one uniting thread amongst these disparate groups is that the more extreme adherents have a personal belief system that compels them to use force in order to bring about what they view as the "perfect world".  They are ideological purists who seek to impose their will upon us.  People like this are and always will be a cancer upon humanity.
