Mulch Mushroom

I dont have any pictures, but i found a goldish/brown mushroom with veil around the stem in some mulch. and i did a spore print and it was either black or dark purple. Bruised blue when picked also. Does anyone have any information or help on this?

I don't really believe that it turned blue... nothing against you, but I think that it was wishful thinking.

Were the gills attached?

Probably nothing worthwhile, and I am 99.8% sure its not active (I find suprises everyday though! So i'll give you .2%)

Try and get us a more detailed description or some pictures. I agree that the chances are it's not active... mulch in Tennessee is not exactly somewhere that I'd expect to see an active mushroom. Still try and get more info. It would be interesting to try and find out what it is either way..
