I'd stick with the tried and true rye for sclerotia as well.

Rye berries or rye grass seed both work. I can get a nice harvest of sclerotia after only six weeks. You can let them go longer and get larger stones if you want, but it isn't necessary. It's one of my favorites.

the weak coffee soak will help fairly dramatically in both colonization
time, vigor and the actual size of the stones.

Seems to be quite apparent that the coffee soak works far better
with sclerotia than with anything else I use it for.


it's a very minor extra step that can bring you much greater rewards.
