looking for a certain song

im not sure what the track is called, i found it several years ago. i accidently downloaded it looking for something else and i never figured out the real artist or title. the only thing i knew it as was "new shit"

it was a drum and bass track, but ive never heard anything else like it. there were a few samples of a guy talking during the song saying things like "you guys...you guys are a real piece of work. you got an edge, and i like that, i do. i like that... it almost makes me sorry i have to kill you. but i do... i do right now."

and later in the song, "now youre down on your knees... begging for your life."

the song was long, anywhere from 8-12 minutes. it just popped in my head this morning and i have no idea how to look for it. does anyone recognize this description?

I don't know the song you're referencing, but I do know that it may be impossible to find. A lot of DnB tracks are never released; you just hear them in mixes, if the dj has the dubplate. Songs like that typically exist on 10" records and there's usually only a handful in existence.

But then again, who knows? It could've seen a formal release from an established label and the track is in obscurity anymore. Every Tuesday for the last 15 years or so DnB tracks have been getting released- there's A LOT of them out there. Good luck in your search.

Edit: Maybe ask around at the Dogs On Acid forum. Those guys know more about DnB than anyone.

The only track I can think of with "new shit" in the title is Marilyn Manson - This Is The New Shit... And it's far from DnB too =\

On the contrary, the infamous DnB producer John B released a record on the Rock God label featuring a remix of Marilyn Manson's "The New Shit". 



So you see, a certain version of that song is not far from DnB at all.  :grin:

I don't have these songs, as I don't really listen to much DnB.

However, I used the googlinator to find some clips on the Beta Records online store.

John B also made an interesting remix of 'Burn' by NIN, but I don't think it ever got an official release. If you go to check out his tunes, be sure to listen to "Stalking You on MySpace". Great track.
