sweet. I'm buying one these. I do laundry at a laudrymat a block or two away and they always have Telemundo blaring. Two hours of non-stop Mexican gameshows and soap-operas makes me all crazy. Well, soon that will be history :thumbup:

That is an amzing invention if it really works like they say.

TV sucks for the most part. I don't think I so much as turned mine on for a few weeks.

Yeah, I head about that a while ago. It may have been the same NPR story. It sounds like a great invention. The only problem is that when you build a better mouse trap, you breed a smarter mouse...

In terms of inventions to reduce noise-pollution, it's definitely right up there with those Israeli cell-phone jammers...

I'm gonna get me a big trench-coat, and line it with all these kinds of gadgets, and walk the earth blotting out all this distracting electronic crap as I travel. Sort of like an angel of electronic death; wherever I go, lights will dim and blaring mindless noise will cease...

I have a friend that bought one of these, it worked quite well. He'd bring to high school and turn off the TV during our shitty news reports. It was wonderful. It also turns the TV on too.

Channel One? Argh. We were forced to watch that shit when I was in high school. It was the most watered down and idiot news show ever. basically, it was a 30 min Mountain Dew commerical that we were a captive audience to. I wish I one of these gadgets back then.

I received my Tv-B-Gone in the mail today. And it works! I tested on 5 different tvs (friends, bar, and laundry mat) and everyone turned off in at least 3 seconds.

This gadget rules.
