Wisdom teeth being pulled tomorrow morning...

Well.. first off, my hearings back!  :smile: :thumbup: 

But that does nothing for my in pending doom.  4 impacted wisdom teeth being extracted tomorrow morning.  No food or drink after 12.  :frown: 

I'm being put out.  I'm just really nervous.  Lets just hope this all goes well.  I'm registering for class this week.. so I hope I'm cool after a day or so.  (i didn't pay for summer school so i got dropped from every class you enrolled in before!)  Share with me some advice/your own wisdom teeth storys.

I got all four wisdom teeth pulled out in one shot.

The only advice I can give you:

Ask for painkillers.

You REALLY want painkillers. Most of the pain goes away like 3 to 4 days after the surgery.

OOO congrats, man, have fun. :laugh:, mine grew in sideways and had to be surgically taken out. After a high dose of laughing gas and general anesthetics you'll be game to get your nuts pulled. Anyways Enjoy, its a fun expierence except for waking up with a mouth full of bloody gauz.

Yeah definitely tell them you have a low tolerance for pain and would like some pills for relief. They fucked me over and gave me T3's. :frown:

I also got all 4 taken out in one shot. I was smoking bud and cigarettes  right when I got home from surgery. This is very ill advised because you can get dry socket but I didn't have any problems. It just felt like the stitches were being pulled out while taking a drag or hit. If you really need to take a couple tokes roll a joint and hit it real slow, for some reason a pipe hurts worse than a joint or cigarette. Make sure to wash your mouth out with the solution they give you right afterwards.

If you can get yourself some coke to rub on your gums it really does work wonders. :yesnod:

m00nshine is currently vacationing in Maui. Rumor has it he got rolled by drunken natives and is currently prostituting himself in order to pay for airfare back to the mainland but he's having trouble juggling a hairon addiction. He won't be back for a long while.

Thanks everyone. 
Yeah matt, I'm getting a prescription of vicodin and Tylenol something or other.  Ive never even taken a major pain killer in my life. lol..  its gonna be my first time.  I was thinking about smoking a bowl tonight.  I dont think thats gonna be a problem. 

no dice on the coke.  haha.  Thanks for the idea tho. :smile:

I got mine out.. thought I'd take the pills sparingly enough to save some for recreation..

no, I ate all them in a few days, even after a beefier 7.5 mg Hydrocodone refill :yesnod:    That shit hurts man

oh man, getting my wisdom teeth pulled out was good times. They gave me some trizolam or something along those lines, its what it said on the package, these pills were tiny .25 mg and they messed me up big time, i only took 2, then i went into the office feeling very high and drunk, falling into coat racks and what not talking to people i didnt know. the best part is my dentists are TWINS identical twins... talk about a trip lol. He asked me if i was feeling high and i replied with a "OH YA!" and he laughed saying he was gonna stab me in the face with a needle, i reply with a laugh and he stabs away, like 10 times lol. so my face is numb and hes cutting and yanking and what not and its all over in like 45 mins. It didnt hurt me that bad,I iced my face with frozen food bags (no lies) for like the first day all day, and there was no swelling, and no pain... probably due to the fact that I had T3's and Advil 600s for swelling. All in all I'd say it was freaking awesome, and anyone who complains about killing pain and what not is just a wuss, or they didnt get enough drugs ... or there dentist sucked (kind of like my grammar "there dentist") anyway thats my story and remember ICE.

I personally didn't want to risk anything by smoking immediately after getting mine out. I didn't the day of, but I felt it was safe to use a vaporizer the next day.

i mean... im fine without smoking. I dunno.. i always get a little tense before surgery type things. I really don't want to get dry socket.. so I'm just going to up stain from smoking until it heals sufficiently.

so your shits pulled now? i was gunna say they give you pain meds no need for questions as they will prob result in NOT getting any.

as for being put out LOL thats the best part. I was just sitting there in the office the nurses hook up iv's and puts the gas mask on....then when the doc walks in they turn on the iv, turn on the gas...the doc sits down tips my chair upside down and BOOM within 5 seconds it seemed the chair was in the upright possition...45mins had been stolen from me like aliens took me away stopped time....i never went to sleep just blinked it seemed.

and somehow i had wads of cotton in my mouth wtf? and there was this white shit all over my touge wtf did that sick doctor do to me OMFG!!! the memorys!!!

i must have lucked out..i had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled at once also and i got a small script of oxy's.  after those were done i went back for a checkup and got a script for vicodin  :cool:

I had to have mine surgically removed.  They were impacted, but once the oral surgeon actually got in there he realized that the roots had wrapped themselves around my jawbones.  So, he backed off, gave me a double dose of Valium, went in with a saw and took out some chunks of my jaw.

I only got one prescription of 15 Percocet.

Coke was my saving grace.  Bastard surgeon...

That was when I was 18, before my Bachelor's degree, and before medical school, and there are STILL gaping holes where those teeth used to be.

Luckily for you, that's an extreme case.  But I wish you the best of luck anyways. :thumbup:

if i was the doctor lily i would have injected "weed b gone" into your wisdom tooth, and over the next day or so the root would have died off then you would have to do to remove the teeth is sneeze

I just got back from having 2 molars surgically removed ...
