terarrium light question????

Hi there I was just wondering the tub I bought for fruiting has a red top and its not the kind of top that can be modefide to let in light but when I lay the low wattage light on top it lets this red light go through and I am wondering if that will be enough light.

Three things:

1. That'll probably work as the light just induces pinning and gives a direction for them to grow. They prefer blue light so the red might be kinda bad but whatever.

2. You could try getting a short strand of christmas lights (tiny bulb ones) and tape / glue / whatever them to the inside of the lid. Works for a certain astrally projected rhinoceros I know...

3. Fuck the red lid!!! Go get a piece of plexiglass from your local hardware store or home depot type place slightly larger than the original lid, just place it on top with the light on top of that.

Hope this helps, and btw they only need a few hours of light a day.
