Neither of those told their range(that I could tell) I'd reccomend Radio Shacks's model 63-1031 (i think) for 29$. it's a remote sensor and goes with model 63-1030 (59$)which is a base unit with one remote. In the details it says the base unit has a high and low himidity alarm. I don't know if that would be adjustable buy if it is then a few wires in the right place it could actually control a humidifier and keep the terrarium at the right level. I couldn't find the 63-1031 in their website but I know they have it in the stores. I paid 22.50 for my first digital hygrometer and it is useless. Hope that helps.

I'm glad you posted that Six. Somehow I must have missed the tail-end of that thread, and was glad to see the update.

I use this one: http://www.bluelight.com/product/index.jsp?productId=848825 It doesn't show in the picture, but it comes with a remote, wireless, waterproof sensor that sends temp/humidity readings to the unit. The unit you see in the pic also reads temp/humidity so you can switch back and forth between which readings you want to look at.

I just spent $20 at Kmart the other day, and got a digital thermometer/hygrometer that is accurate up to 90% humidity and 158 degrees, or so it says. When I got it in the terrarium, the rH jumped from 31 (in my room) to "HI" (above 89) in a matter of minutes. "HI" on the humidity scale doesn't exactly tell if you're in the right range, but it gives you a better idea than "are the sides sweating?" The thermometer is pretty accurate, as well. Entheogenic

WakingUpLate: It's been almost 2 weeks since the evaluation. The analog hygrometer is next to impossible to read due to condensation building up on its face. The RS remote has a tinfoil tent over it flared at the bottom to expose the vent holes. The RS instructions said if it gets wet to wipe it off so the foil tent keeps the moisture from condensing on it So I cant read the remote its self (it's covered in foil) but I can read its readings from the main unit which sits on a dresser in the rooms environment. Still, the RS unit gets the nod from me.
