Have a look around Amsterdam online
    #5960352 - 08/13/06 08:05 PM (17 years, 5 months ago)

A lot of people here want to go to Amsterdam, but many can not afford it. On  this site you can look at a lot of panorama pictures from Amsterdam.
Have fun

I live in Holland, it's a 30 minute train ride for me. Just thought some people might be interested in seeing the city. Amsterdam is not all about getting fucked up you know..

I meant that it's very feasible for any of them to go, and people should not be making excuses, and settling for panorama. I know there's more than just getting fucked up, it looks like a beautiful city. Just trying to let people know that if they want something they should do what they gotta do to get it.

This months National Geographic Traveler has a cover story on Amsterdam. I want to go to the museums, and hang out at a cafe on the canals. The parks look awesome as well. Then I'd get high, maybe even take some mushrooms and go buy a BJ.

Me and 3 friends are actually going at the beginning of next year. I've looked all over that site and bunch of others. I'm pretty pumped about it though.

As it stands right now, and I haven't checked into seat sales and other such deals, it'll cost 4 grand(after taxes) for 3 people to fly from where I am to amsterdam.

We'll have to all go wander the red light district together

Yea, I know, as it stands now, we are planning it for febuarish/march.  It's for sure, but we are still trying to find out the best time to go.

Yeah, my girlfriend and I are also planning a little visit to the city. It's not that far away, we live in Denmark.

What's a good time to visit?

The other friends want the end of febuary/beginning of march(because they go back to school in march). It doesn't really matter to me though.

As a resident I prefer the city mid july to late october.
November to april trees are barren and it's cold, grey and wet.

If you prefer to stay indoors for most of your trip, it doesn't matter much. The city center is packed with tourists all year round.

Great link!

It made me miss amsterdam a lot, though. I lived there for 5 years and seeing all the places I used to ride my bike and buy groceries kinda bummed me out. :frown:  It's just so familiar. This was my old street:
