UPS really safe?

I've heard many things about UPS. One that they do not X-ray anything, making it safe to mail pot, shrooms, etc..
I've also used this method before in dire emergencies and came out safe, but does anyone know if it really is safe to do this or not?

You'd probably be okay sending small quantities through. Just nothing too big.

Of course it's not safe. But it's not much riskier than hand to hands.

there was a thread in Sec. and Safety about this, but it appears to be gone.
The jist was no, do not use UPS or Fed-Ex. They can open any shipment at any time for any reason. USPS has federal laws regulating this. Also, sending overnite shipments are extremely unsafe as how these are checked the most thoroughly (usually).

USPS 1st class mail or nothing at all.
I'll explain it all later.

This conversation comes up every month.
People claim it isnt safe, but I dont see how. Unless your package breaks open or the odor is unmistakable, UPS isnt going to open your package.
I work there, and I would ship drugs UPS without a second thought.

I have a coworker who supervises the conveyor belts at UPS and he agrees. Although he also feels next day air would be the safest method to ship UPS considering that all they give a fuck about at that point is your package getting there.

I have a buddy who worked at UPS for a year. He said they were not allowed to acknowledge anything that was in the packages. So when something was leaking a suspicious white powder, they would just tape it up and send it on its way.
He is prone to exaggerate though.

Its seriously true.
Packages are constantly leaking shit and have wierd liquids spewing out of them.
Throw it in a plastic bag and get it on the plane.
