Police Make Huge Drug Bust



Authorities in central Iowa are cracking down on drug dealers. Thursday night officers in Marshalltown siezed more than 215 pounds of marijuana -- a street value of nearly $200,000.

Police say they had been watching two cars suspiciously traveling together from Arizona to Iowa. One of those vehicles was spotted outside a home at 1306 West Linn Street in Marshalltown.

Police say a search of the house resulted in the bust, where they allegedly also found several grams of cocaine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, drug paraphernalia and money.

A man from Arizona and a man from New York face charges in the bust.
A detective with the Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force says its the largest single drug seizure he's seen in 27 years.

215 pounds of marijuana should be worth a hell of alot more than 200 grand on the streets unless it was some really shitty schwag.

Wtf does this mean? That has to be a bullshit story the police told the news... We like say two vehicles traveling together so we busted them which is clearly suspicious.....!? what?

Haha! Maybe the guys were smoking bowls all the way down the interstate and the Highawy Patrol saw them? Then radioed the licence plate numbers over state lines? Cuz your right, traveling together isnt much for a probable cause.

....or possibly tracking sensors and an under cover DEA agent?  :biggrin: :rolleyes: :biggrin:

naw they got millions of camera along every highway now, so they were caught traveling from A to B. but its still not enough to give probable cause...but oh wait were in the united states of Conspiracy.
